# Create an account

> Sign up for a console login, confirm your email address and add a billing account for your services and invoices.

To use the console you need a **login** (your email address and password) and a **billing account** (who we invoice). Used our old customer panel? You already have a login: see [Coming from the old panel](https://perfgrid.com/docs/console/getting-started/what-is-the-console.md#coming-from-the-old-panel).

## Sign up

**1. Open the sign-up page**

Go to [console.perfgrid.com/register](https://console.perfgrid.com/register).

**2. Fill in your details**

Enter your **Name**, **Email address** and a **Password** that meets the rules under the field, then click **Create account**.

**3. Confirm your email address**

Open the email from PerfGrid and click **Verify email address**. Until you do, the console shows this box instead of your pages:

No email, or a typo in the address? Click **Send a new link** or **Wrong address?**.

> Confirm your address within 14 days. A login that is never confirmed is disabled after that.

You can also sign up while you order: the checkout asks for your login and billing details on the same page, and we start on the order once you have confirmed your email address. See [Order a service](https://perfgrid.com/docs/console/getting-started/order-a-service.md).

## Add a billing account

After you confirm your email address, the console opens **Add billing account** if you don't have one yet.

**1. Fill in the details**

Choose **Company** or **Private person** under **Billed as**, and fill in the details for your invoices. A company in the EU also enters its **VAT number**.

**2. Choose the currency**

Choose the **Currency** for the account's invoices at the bottom of the form.

**3. Create it**

Click **Create billing account**. You become its owner.

> You can't change the currency yourself later. Open a support ticket if you need it changed.
