# Restore files in JetBackup 5

Restoring files in **JetBackup 5** works a bit differently than in older JetBackup releases.

## Restore primary domain files

For the **primary** domain, select the **`public_html`** directory when you restore.

## Restore subdomain or addon domain files

For **subdomains** or **addon domains**, a known JetBackup issue can leave **folder permissions** wrong after a restore (a fix is planned). After restoring, set the domain’s document root directory to **`755`**.
