By default, the Imagick PHP extension is not enabled on our servers. We disable it because the module tends to leak memory badly enough that the downsides outweigh the benefits for typical hosting. WordPress Site Health may report that Imagick is missing. In practice, Imagick is only needed for generating PDF previews in the media library, which most sites never rely on. If you use WordPress, install the ImageMagick Engine plugin and set it to ImageMagick Command-line.
