Pulse: Week 18, 2025
It's been a few weeks since our last Pulse update, mainly because we haven't had a lot of significant changes or new information to share. as our focus has been on another project at the moment, which we cannot share details about yet.
Continuing our UI overhaul for hosting-panel.net
We're continuing to make various improvements for the UI on hosting-panel.net to streamline the layout and, more importantly, making it mobile-friendly as well. While we don't see a lot of mobile users trying to manage their accounts, it's still a nice feature to have available in case a user needs to quickly create an email account or update DNS entries, for example.
In the past few weeks, we've done the following:
- Optimized the Cronjob layout and included additional helper text based on customer feedback.
- Fixed some UI-related changes on Mobile with button spacing, form width, etc.
- Updated the Dashboard with a completely new and more visually appealing layout.

Other than UI improvements, we've also improved some internal code aspects:
- Such as improving the backoff mechanism for job failures, implementing an exponential delay for retries.
- Use the configured PHP version for domains when cloning WordPress sites.
- Fixed a bug in the File Manager that, in certain cases, prevented the correct registration of the current directory during file uploads.
- Changed some models in the system to utilize proper polymorphic relationships, which is necessary for other ongoing system changes.
OpenSearch 2.x offering
We're excited to announce the availability of OpenSearch 2.x. While we previously offered ElasticSearch in a shared environment, with the recent changes to Magento 2.4 which switches its Search Engine support from ElasticSearch to OpenSearch, we've then decided to offer this as well.
The key difference between our ElasticSearch and OpenSearch offerings lies in the environment. Our ElasticSearch was based on a shared infrastructure with specific rules to ensure its functionality in that environment.
However, due to the way Access Control Lists (ACLs) function in OpenSearch, it's not feasible to run it securely in a shared environment. Therefore, all OpenSearch instances are fully dedicated.
This means customers benefit from dedicated resources, including heap, but this does result in a price adjustment for OpenSearch to reflect the increased resource allocation. However, it remains very competitively priced compared to other hosted OpenSearch solutions on the market, and importantly, it's hosted right alongside your website, eliminating the latency typically associated with external hosted solutions.
The OpenSearch offering can be found at our Managed Services page.
