It's time for another Pulse post about what has happened over the past months. It's really a continuation of the post published on June 05, 2026.

Moving to Mintlify

Back in April, we decided to move from our Zendesk knowledge base to Mintlify for Knowledge Base articles. It was mainly done as a part of moving things under the perfgrid.com domain, so it's accessible at https://perfgrid.com/docs

It allows better formatting of text, proper code highlighting, and better navigational structure.

It also allowed us to go over all the content we had in Zendesk (which was heavily lacking), get rid of things that were kind of useless, and update anything that wasn't true anymore. And only just recently, we've done quite some work to document most major features in our Grid Hosting product, providing extensive documentation for the in-house panel.

Obviously, one of the issues with having an in-house panel is that the only people who can write docs for it are ourselves, so we have to stay more on top of this as we release new features.

Moving from Zendesk to SupportPal

Over the years, we've used Zendesk as our support platform, but in a move to own more and more of our data, we took the step, back in April, to migrate from Zendesk to SupportPal.

This comes with a few benefits, such as the fact that we host the panel fully in-house now, and it's easier to do custom development for it when needed.

It did result in having to do a larger data migration of our Zendesk account to SupportPal, which, for 95% of all data, has gone flawlessly, but there's some very old attachments which are no longer accessible.

The new support platform faces less issues than Zendesk (which, somehow, has quite a significant amount of availability issues), and it allows us to have much better control of the underlying infrastructure, security and email deliverability.

Another benefit was that it did cut the cost of the support software by 75%, which can be reinvested into other useful features for us and our customers.

New network upstream

Due to a change in an old upstream provider which stopped providing services in the datacenter we're located in, we've added another network upstream next to GSL. This new upstream is Asimo Networks B.V.

Asimo Networks B.V. greatly complements our GSL Upstream, adding additional local peers, which benefits quite a few of our users in the Benelux area as well as the surrounding countries.
