The LiteSpeed Cache plugin ships with sensible defaults. You often only need a few changes. Apply the sections below in the WordPress admin where they match your site.
General
In LiteSpeed Cache → General, request a Domain Key if you have not already.
Cache
Open LiteSpeed Cache → Cache.
Cache Mobile
Set Cache Mobile from Off to On only if your site is not responsive or it depends on mobile-detection logic. Otherwise leave it as suits your setup.
Drop Query String
Under Cache, use Drop Query String for tracking parameters. If you installed v3 of the plugin, this is already set. Typical values include:
Add or adjust entries to match the query strings you want ignored for caching.
Purge
Open LiteSpeed Cache → Purge.
Auto purge rules for publish/update
Under Auto Purge Rules for Publish/Update, make sure All pages is unchecked unless you intentionally want that behavior.
Serve stale
Set Serve Stale from Off to On.
ESI
Open LiteSpeed Cache → ESI.
Set Enable ESI from Off to On only if your site relies on WordPress nonces in a way that benefits from ESI. If you do not need that, you can leave ESI off.
WooCommerce
If you use WooCommerce, open the WooCommerce tab.
Under Product Update Interval, choose Purge product and categories only when the stock status changes if you use WooCommerce and your store does not depend on live quantity for display or logic.
Page Optimization
Open LiteSpeed Cache → Page Optimization.
Under Optimization Settings, set Remove WordPress Emoji from Off to On unless you need front-end emoji scripts. Last modified on April 6, 2026
